Former First Lady Barbara Bush dies at age 92 today. Barbara passed away at her home in Houston, Texas after refusing additional medical treatments for her failing health.

She was one of only two women in American history to have been both the wife and mother of a U.S. president. The first woman in American history to have accomplished this amazing feat is Abigail Adams (Wife of John Adams and Mother of John Quincy Adams).

Barbara & George H.W. Bush celebrated their 73rd wedding anniversary in early January 2018. She is survived by five children (her sixth child passed away at 3 years old from Leukemia), 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
