Gwyneth Paltrow told the New York Times that Harvey Weinstein invited her to his suite at the Peninsula Beverly Hills hotel after casting her in the lead role for “Emma” and invited Paltrow back to his bedroom for massages. Paltrow goes on to say,

“I was a kid, i was signed up, i was petrified.”

At that time, Brad Pitt was Gwyneth’s boyfriend and bravely confided the incident to him. Pitt confronted Weinstein and Paltrow insists Weinstein threatened her to prevent her from speaking out about his advances.

“I thought he was going to fire me,”

said Paltrow about Weinstein.

While never confirmed, a long piece of Hollywood gossip was always that Weinstein leveraged his position with Gwyneth Paltrow for sexual favors to truly get her role in the Oscar Award Winning (7 Oscars to be exact), “Shakespeare in Love” released in 1998. Paltrow’s testimony to the New York Times goes to show that while the gossip may not have been accurate, the grain of truth that it spread from has now come to light.

Other A-Listers such as Angelina Jolie, Ashley Judd, and Rose McGowan have all shared their stories of Weinstein’s predatory behavior and are actively encouraging everyone who knows anything to speak up!

  1. These creepy predators should be washed out of any business involving women forever. Animalistic stock male predators who rip and tear should be chemically or physically castrated and they will, wherever they go no longer be a threa5 to any woman or child.
