Harvey Weinstein, one of the most prolific and powerful men in Hollywood, has been fired from his own film production company, The Weinstein Company, on Sunday after years of sexual harrassment scandals. Allegations, claims, and gossip about Harvey Weinstein leveraging his powerful position in Hollywood to engage-in and exchange sexual favors from budding stars and veteran stars for prominent movie roles has been going on for decades.
The statement announcing Harvey Weinstein’s firing stated that this decision was made
“in light of new information about misconduct by Harvey Weinstein that has emerged in the past few days.”
Harvey Weinstein had been notified of his termination by email Sunday evening. This was decided by 4 of the Board Members from The Weinstein Company: Bob Weinstein (Harvey’s brother), Lance Maerov, Tarak Ben Ammar and Richard Koenigsberg. Interesting enough, a fifth board member named Paul Tudor Jones resigned on Saturday.
CelebTelly believes this is the first major step in finally acknowledging that Hollywood, the leftest bastion and a very united & vocal left voice in female politics, is finally uncovering its own demons about its own abuse of female & male victims within its industry. Sadly, these harassments and victim payoffs were acceptable practice for so many in Hollywood. Who will be publically identified next to continue this Hollywood clean-up?
