O.J. Simpson has just been granted parole in Nevada robbery. He served a total of 9 years in prison.
O.J. was arrested and sentenced after being found guilty to a botched bid to retrieve sports memorabilia. While O.J. did not have a gun, an acquaintance of his did. O.J. testified that he was retrieving his own personal property and that nothing he took was not his personal property.
Simpson will be released in October after serving his minimum term for armed robbery and assault with a weapon.
The 70-year-old O.J. Simpson’s response to the parole board’s decision was, “Thank you, thank you, thank you.”
Interesting enough, the conviction of this crime came 13 years to the day after he was acquitted of murder in 1995 in the deaths of his ex-wife and her friend in Brentwood, California.
